Video Transcript for Stability Plus Stabilizer Helper Springs Review

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Stability Plus helper spring. Just make sure that you put your vehicle in the fit guide so the right kit gets put in front of you, and then you can add it to your cart. There are a bunch of different ways to beef up your suspension. I definitely like this one just because it's really low profile. It's just pretty much half of a leaf spring, but there are some other ones on our websites. One is the Roadmaster kit, which uses a spring instead of a leaf spring, so just a coiled spring.

And it does have some adjustments, like we have here. We have three different holes. I'm using the middle just because it's kind of the middle ground. If we did have some heavier loads, we can use the upper hole right here to keep it a little bit closer. And then, if we have some lighter stuff, we can go down at the bottom.

Another way to enhance your suspension is just by replacing the factory bump stops right here. And the ones we sell are a little bit bigger. So with those, you're not really getting any suspension enhancement right off the bat. It's whenever your suspension sags enough, then those bump stops are going to kick in. With this, it's going to be right away.

And depending on how we set it up and how we adjust it, it's pretty much just going to accommodate for whatever kind of loads that you're hauling. So with this one and the Roadmaster, I think they kind of work relatively the same, but this one was a little bit easier to install. What enhancements are going to do for your vehicle, it's just going to handle a lot better when you're on the road, especially with those bigger loads. So, whenever you put a large load in the back of your pickup truck, typically what happens is you start to sag real bad, not really good on your components, but then your front end is way up in the air. You're going to be that guy on the highway because once your headlights start to raise up, it's going to look like you're driving with brights on.

I really don't like that, whenever people are coming at me on the road with their brights on. So it's going to eliminate that problem. And since we're not going to have a whole lot of weight on the front, you're going to have a lot less control over the front end. So it's going to keep everything a lot tighter. And also, when we're hauling stuff in the back, whether it's in the bed of our truck or an actual camper, with a stiffer suspension, as the trailer starts to maybe get a little off center, it's going to kind of correct, and your truck's going to kind of feel that. So with the chucking and the sway that you might feel whenever you're going down the road, with a tighter suspension setup, it's going to correct itself and get nice and center a little bit quicker. So let's take a look at what we're actually getting with the kit. We're going to get a couple grease zerk bolts that go through so we can maintain these, so they don't wear out over time. We're going to get some nice brackets. They are coated, so they're not going to rust away over time. Then we have our little leaf spring here. And then just a u-bolt. So it's a really, really simple install. It's not really a whole lot, but it really does help a lot. You know, just adding a half of a leaf spring on top, it's just going to prolong the life of your leaf springs, so as that load starts to go down, instead of dividing the amount of load by three, since we have three leaf springs, now we have a whole other component that is going to help us out, so we can divide it by four. And that's just gonna be a lot easier on your truck. What I really like about this is we're not taking off any factory components. I mean, this is basically a brand new truck. I'd rather not buy a brand new truck, pull some of the factory equipment off, and replace it right away. I just don't like that. So just adding this is gonna prevent you from having to take anything off from the factory. Now with the extra suspension components installed, we loaded up a big, old water tank. It's about 1,500 pounds. And we're going to take it up on our test course, just to see how it does. So even after that first belt, I could definitely feel my truck just being more responsive. It's a little bit tighter, to where it doesn't just go down and comes back up and kind of rocks. I can definitely feel it. I have many other loads that are a lot heavier than this, so this is on the medium setting, so we can either tighten it up or loosen it up, but on the medium setting, this is, like, perfect. And that'll do it for our look at the Stability Plus helper springs..

Great product has really helped with the wind blowing my rv now is a lot more stable and the sumo front bumpers also has paid for themselves

I was completely flabbergasted on how well these stabilizers worked. I hauled more firewood by about 1/3. They leveled out the pickup, better handling. I already loved my F150 Ford, that was equipped with the heavy duty trailer tow package, the stabilizers were the cherry on top. Terri my sales gal was fantastic!, she made the ordering process great and they arrived in4 days via UPS.

I used these spring helpers on a 2014 silverado to help tow a 7000 lb travel trailer and they worked great. Easy installation and great customer service from etrailer as always.

Installed as instructed, ordered for4x4 2022 Ford F-150, these springs on the installation do not show fitting 1/2 ton vehicles in specifications. They do fit but threads on the u bolts were made for more then Three(3) springs, like those of the f250 models. I had to use 4 washers on each threaded end to get them to tighten down, hopping they are now tight enough. We will see, seem to be ok

by:

Installed on 2017 F250 King Ranch for towing a 41’ chaparral 5th wheel, so far so good truck feels more controlled without a load. Installed on the high setting and with the B&W companion hitch and gooseball underbed mount, the trucks ride height was raised 1”. Also running the Timbrens and those work amazingly aswell. Ready to hitch up next month for a camping trip.

by:

Had problem on the exhaust side of the F150 4x4
Shifted it more toward to the axle and slide the u bolt until it let the three hole bracket clear the exhaust. That was on the passenger side. The driver side went on with no issues.
Have not hooked up to camper yet but after test drive on uneven terrain you can tell the difference in side to side sway

by:

Easy installation, I did it myself in 30 minutes start to finish. Set them on heavy for RV trailer towing. Worked perfect, rear is stable now. Surprisingly when unloaded the rear is not stiff and bouncy like I feared it might be. Installed on 2007 Toyota Tacoma double cab 4.0 V6 with factory towing package, pulling Lance model 1995 RV 5500 GUWR
